Post Title: National Programme Officer (Nutrition) - 1 position
Contract Type: Service Contract (SC)
Position grade: SB4
Duty Station: Dili
Duration: One year Service Contract
(with 3 months SC probation period) -renewable

Duties/Responsibilities:
Within assigned units, the National Programme Officer will be responsible for the following duties:
1. At central level (CO/MOH), for the whole WFP's MCHN Programme
·Develop and sustain liason with MoH in the contex of nutrition policies, activities and other related nutrition topics;
·Assist WFP and MoH in the targeting and implementation of Supplementary Feeding Programme;
·Support WFP and Nutrition Department at MoH through continuous training and technical guidance;
·Provide technical input to the International Nutrition Officer and CO's team with regard to the MCHN;
·Closely work with UN agencies (in particular UNICEF), NGOs and the Nutrition Working Group in the joint planning and implementation of nutrition activities;
·Ensure compliance with WFP's policies, criteria, and procedures with respect to food aid;
·Carry out other tasks as may be required and requested by the Country Director, Programme section as well as Nutrition Department.

2. At district level for the whole WFP's MCHN Programme
·Assist International Nutrition Officer to provide training and technical guidance for counterparts and implementing partners for implementation and monitoring of MCHN activities;
·Undertake regular field visits with representatives of the MoH and participating partners to monitor the programme implementation;

Qualifications:
University degree in Nutritrion Sciences and / or Public Health.

Required experience:
§Three years of relevant work experience in Nutrition and / or Public Health.
§Fluency in both oral and written English and knowledge of local languages. Basic knowledge of Portuguese and Bahasa Indonesian will be an advantage.
§Experience utilizing computers, proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office and training skills.
